Foster L. Aborn
Vice Chairman of the Board, John Hancock Financial Services, Inc.

Mr. Aborn joined John Hancock in 1968 as an assistant investment officer in the Bond and Corporate Finance Department and was subsequently named investment officer and senior investment officer. In 1972, he was elected second vice president, Bond and Corporate Finance Department and in 1978, was elected vice president of that department. In 1984, he was elected Senior Vice President, Treasury and Financial Services Department and in 1987 was elected President of the Investment and Pension Group. He served as Vice Chairman of the Board and Chief Investment Officer from 1992 through June 2000. Mr. Aborn serves as a director/trustee of a variety of institutions and organizations.

He holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College and a master's degree from the Amos Tuck School of Business Administration. He has also completed the executive program at the Columbia University School of Management.

David Flaschen
Operating Partner, Castanea Partners

David Flaschen, who has 20 years of executive experience in the information services industry, joined Castanea Partners as an Operating Partner. Prior to joining Castanea, David was a Managing Director at Flagship Ventures, having joined the firm in 2000. Prior to Flagship, he was the President and Chief Executive Officer of Thomson Financial, a billion dollar information services company focused on the financial industry. David is a frequent speaker on Corporate Governance and was cited as one of ten by Corporate Board Member Magazine in "The Next Generation of Directors".

David has a degree from Brown University and earned an MBA from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Between undergraduate and graduate education, David was a professional athlete in the North American Soccer League (NASL). He was a first round draft choice and founding member of the Executive Committee of the NASL Players Association.

André Perold
Professor of Finance and Banking, Harvard Business School

André Perold is the George Gund Professor of Finance and Banking at the Harvard Business School, where he teaches MBA courses in Investment Management and Capital Markets. He also teaches in executive education programs, including the HBS/CFA Institute Investment Management Workshop which he has chaired since 1989.

Professor Perold’s research is focused on asset allocation policies of endowments and pension funds, the structure and evolution of the investment management industry, risk management and capital allocation within financial firms and hedge funds, short selling constraints and market efficiency, and implementation costs within investment organizations. He has authored numerous articles and case studies, and he is co-author of two books, The Global Financial System: A Functional Perspective and Cases in Financial Engineering: Studies of Applied Financial Innovation.

Professor Perold has been a consultant to a number of financial institutions and investment firms, and he has served as a director, trustee and advisory board member of a variety of investment and other organizations. Professor Perold is also on the editorial board of the Financial Analysts Journal.

Professor Perold holds a BSc (Hons) from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg, and an MS and PhD in Operations Research, both from Stanford University.

Gregory Parseghian
Former Chief Executive Officer, Freddie Mac

Mr. Parseghian is the former Chief Executive Officer of Freddie Mac and longtime financial services executive. Greg joined Freddie Mac in 1996 as Senior Vice President and Chief Investment Officer. He was promoted to Executive Vice President and then served as CEO and President. Prior to Freddie Mac, Parseghian was a Managing Director of Salomon Brothers, a partner of BlackRock Financial Management, and a Managing Director of First Boston Corporation.
